I was at the opera this morning, till two o'clock will therefore judge of my present charming headache. pleased considerably – but the whole state of public +++ is such that at that theatre [last three words inserted] that there is no telling who has pleased, & who +++ new dancer, Rosati, [illegible crossed out] is a very +++ looking young Increasingly believe that Jenny Lind is not coming: & +++ not. unless she can got back her engagem from[?] +++. – Gad now. -tis high time to close this inestimable letter. as indeed I feel quite knocked up. With a long +++ work, +++, before me Hitherto, I have on very well as to health — Now, I am looking to hear of you coming up: & right glad shall I be to shake you by the hand again. & to congratulate[?] you on your great success, of which I read on side. Kindest regards to Mrs. Meriman: love from me[?] & sentiments of the highest consideration from the[?]+++ to both. Very faithfully yrs.
