One of the clauses of the Cushman will is the following: "To a friend, Emma Stebbins, $1,500 yearly." This Miss Stebbins was the constant traveling companion of Miss Cushman. She is said to be a person of some literary attainments, and it is the general opinion of the friends of Miss Cushman that she will undertake to write a biography of the departed actress.
