I was just on the point of
sending down [?] to ask you to come up to us this evening - if you are not tired of the firm [?]. when Mrs Tilton [?] has informed me you are coming to her. Now I want you all to come to me. & give the Tiltons [?] another evening if you have one unengaged. when we can come there to meet you. you see we dont [sic] want to lose any of the goods [?] the Gods provide. I have told Mrs Tilton what I 

[page 2] should write to you. she is +++ - I expect he will flare up. but there we know how easily men are subdued - when a woman set [?] to work to circumwent [sic]!
