If my times do not frighten [?] you, more than they seem to have done, Albany, Syracuse & a number of other towns – I might possibly. make a night for you [illegable, crossed out] about [inserted] the middle of January. I cannot work much or long. Therefore, I am obliged to ask five hundred dollars five nights. depositing [?] in advance, for a reading of "selections from Shakespiers [sic] play of Henry 8". an early reply will oblige
