FASHIONABLE INTELLIGENCE.

             __________

[…]

Charlotte Cushman played in Liverpool on the 16th of this month, and she is to appear at Niblo's Garden to-morrow evening, the 30th—just a fortnight after her performance three thousand miles away. This is the first instance in which this has been done, but it will not be the last. It illustrates most strikingly the proximity into which the old and the new world have been brought by the wonderful power of steam.— New York Tribune
