This column with three entries reports on: the re-election of EC Morris as the president of the National Baptist Convention, the largest religious organization among persons of color, at its Austin session; the establishment of the "Frederick Douglas Improvement Circle" in Chicago, a female organization aiming to bring social equality among the white and Black communities, where the article's author assumes that the women gossip; and finally the opening of the Cheney Normal School in Pennsylvania.
