She is by far the best female performer on the stage. Devoid of rant-possessing little of mere stage +++&lt;span class="ILfuVd NA6bn"&gt;&lt;span class="hgKElc"&gt;—&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;with a face and voice calculated to tell against her rather than in her favour, she has the rare art of delineating passion and feeling in such truthful manner that the audience are irresistably carried away with her efforts, and hail her with enthusiastic demonstrations of applause. Those who have seen her &lt;em&gt;Mrs. Haller&lt;/em&gt; will never forget it; nor will the remembrance of her &lt;em&gt;Meg Merrilies&lt;/em&gt; be spreadily effaced from the mind. It was, we are bold to say, the only impersonation of Scott's &lt;em&gt;Meg&lt;/em&gt; ever witnessed&lt;span class="ILfuVd NA6bn"&gt;&lt;span class="hgKElc"&gt;—&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;There was the figure, the features; the powerful and almost masculine mind, with its +++ aberrations, but +++ with absorbing interest in the fortunes of +++ +++ &lt;span class="ILfuVd NA6bn"&gt;&lt;span class="hgKElc"&gt;—&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;indeed it was &lt;em&gt;Meg Merrilies&lt;/em&gt; herself: her that hold the Gipsy tribe in awe;</text>
